Evaluating the Proficiency of Blue Collar Workers

  • Adapting technology is important and an efficient way to streamline hiring processes for blue-collar employment.

Alongside ASTRNT, I’ve promoted inventive hiring practices and used my data-driven skills as Head of Talent Assessment, to create fruitful partnerships with recruiters. Our goal is to integrate ASTRNT’s technology that can be used to deploy tailored assessments that include structured video-on-demand assessments and multiple-choice questions in assessing technical, job-related skills and work commitment.

ASTRNT collaborates with Pintarnya, a specialist job board provider specializing in blue-collar employment, to streamline their hiring processes within their platform. They make use of the flexible multiple-choice question (MCQ) technology from ASTRNT, which has been easily incorporated into their platform to assess various technical skills and work commitments. This gives businesses the ability to design tests that perfectly match their own hiring requirements for each specific position.

Streamlining Entry-Level Recruitment Using Technology

  • Competency-based assessments, utilizing technology like video interviews and multiple-choice questions, are crucial for identifying the fit candidates.

Competency-based assessments, vital for entry-level hiring, form the foundation for success in roles often filled by recent graduates or white-collar professionals. Identifying future leaders is pivotal for an organization’s long-term growth and alignment with its culture and values. Leveraging technology, such as video-on-demand interviews, multiple-choice questions, and free-text inquiries, enables comprehensive evaluation, including adaptability, communication skills, job-related knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. For instance, in a technology company, candidates underwent assessments covering adaptability, communication, job knowledge, and problem-solving, demonstrating the efficacy of this personalized approach.

Qiscuss served as an example of the quick candidate evaluation made possible by ASTRNT’s assessment technology. Qiscus effectively analyzed critical characteristics by employing ASTRNT’s platform for assessing on-demand interviews, free-text responses, and multiple-choice questions to gauge real-world adaptability, industry knowledge, and analytical thinking. The adoption not only sped up the recruiting process, but it also saved the COO time by quickly eliminating unqualified applicants, allowing the COO to concentrate on assessing high-potential prospects and improving overall selection effectiveness.

Assessing Specialized Roles

  • Evaluating specialized roles necessitates a concentrated strategy, such as Realistic Job Preview (RJP) examinations including simulated real-job responsibilities, to identify specialists with the technical expertise and ability to solve problems critical to the company’s achievement.

Assessing specialized positions, from my perspective as an Assessment Expert, necessitates a precise and targeted methodology. Realistic Job Preview (RJP) assessments that examine real-job tasks (simulated) give insight into a person’s expertise in technical abilities and problem-solving skills. Through these simulations, candidates are fully immersed in solving the critical incidents of the position. The goal? identifying experts who will perform in their specialized jobs and are the success of the company.

Our CSAM intern selection procedure used an assess first approach, where all candidates get the same assessment sets at the beginning of their selection process (top-funnel), in integrating the ASTRNT platform. Candidates participated in asynchronous realistic job previews to assess their written and verbal communication skills throughout the initial round of the assessment, using both free-text and video-on-demand questions. Besides, They also did video-on-demand competency-based interviews to assess their competence in collaboration and task commitment. This methodology made sure that the assessment was holistic and precise to achieve a better quality of hire.

Assessments for Strategic Leadership Qualities

  • Assessments for executive roles are strategically important in driving leadership selections, employing a data-driven method is critical to evaluate technical competence.

Assessments for executive and leadership positions take on strategic significance, acting as a compass in navigating the complicated world of leadership and people management. The choice of a leader is crucial since that person’s decisions and actions determine a company’s course.

Levi recently joined ASTRNT as our People Operations and Culture Lead, aligning well with our data-driven approach. ASTRNT has developed an assessment method to evaluate technical HR knowledge, strategic planning, team management, and motivational fitness. This is achieved through multiple-choice questions and competency-based video interviews. We used this method to assess 201 out of an impressive 380 applicants. After shortlisting candidates through these assessments, we conducted interviews to evaluate cultural fit. Following interviews with the top 13 candidates, Levi emerged as the standout choice. Thanks to ASTRNT’s technology, we streamlined our recruitment process.
