However, feedback from our users has uncovered that many people still struggle with technology, especially in the case of blue-collar hiring where people have limited access to technology or are not tech-savvy enough. In some cases, we’ve found people reluctant to download apps on their mobile devices because of restrictions such as not enough storage space to add new apps.
Astronaut has recently released a new feature update that allows you to conduct interviews and assessments on any mobile browser, adding more choices to the current ability to conduct on any device, mobile or desktop, and a mobile app. The upgrade makes it easier and more accessible to anyone with an internet-enabled device to conduct their interview anywhere, anytime.
As a recruiter, you now have the option to choose how you want your interviews or assessments to be conducted. From the +Create Job/Program Button or the Job/Program Detail menu on your existing Job page, you now can find the Select Device and Browser Options Your Candidates drop-down menu.
Here you can select how they can access your interviews and assessments. The selected default is Desktop Browser or Mobile App (iOS and Android), but you can change it to other options like Desktop and Mobile Browsers, Desktop Browsers Only, or Mobile App Only.
Depending on your needs, the options give you the power to customize how users interact and activate candidates that are less tech-savvy or have limited access to technology and storage on their devices.
